Hi, I'll be doing B.bus/b.scit this year at UTS.

Anyway, I currently use a mac and was wondering if I'd need to make the switch back to a PC for the IT subjects.

I also heard that its possible to run xp or vista on a mac, if this is true, does anyone know how to do it?

thanks in advance

Heya, if u have one of the newer intel macs you can install bootcamp which will allow u to start up your computer in either windows or mac. Alternatively, there is a program you can buy called Parallels which opens up the windows system inside the mac system, so you can run any particular windows program while operating on your mac OS.

I'm just going into my second year of BIT and didn't have any problems with using mac for my first year IT subjects. For programming the application they use at uni is BlueJ, which is available on the internet for mac also :)
