Like the title implies. Has everyone sorted out all the various dropping or picking up of subjects for Yr12? As in the official forms or what not. Are there forms? Cause I dunno what I'm talking about.

With two days left of school and no word from my school, not even a hint of what's going on, I wonder if my school'll get it done in time.

Yeah, so discuss.

We received our subject selection forms in week 2 of this term. They were due in week 5, but we have until week 2 next term to change our subjects. We received our term 4 timetables on Tuesday. I guess our school likes to be early.

We picked our subjects in week 5, but you could still change it, I guess. But I'd prefer picking the subjects after getting results for the yearlies, like at my cousin's school. We handed in the form even before the yearlies began.

We were given the forms after our yearlys. If you handed the form in this term, you don't have to attend the class next term. However those who have yet decided or havent handed it in yet must attend class until Week 4 next term. We dont get our new timetable until Week 5 anyway.

We were told during a year meeting in Week 2 or 3 (I can't remember exactly), that we will only be allowed to drop subjects for Year 12 next year in Term 1.

Is anyone else's school doing this?

We've got no idea when we can do our HSC subject selection because it takes the school 3 weeks to get organised.. :mad1:

Therefore meaning we have to do the preliminary course for 3 weeks before any dropping or going up occurs...

hmMm...

Yearlies at my school are over but still no hint of what's going to happen. There's a rumour going around at our school that we have to stick it out with the same subjects for next term and can only start dropping next year. :(

Also, the teachers are even more lazy than the students. :p I came to school and only had one class (maths). My Biology teacher, who is also the truancy officer, told me that she "didn't see me *wink wink* *nudge nudge*" so I can just hang out in the quad while my Chemistry teacher told me that he also "didn't see" me.

No offical papers yet, I get them first day back next term and they have to be in by the 3rd or 4th week of next term and we can pretty much drop as soon as we get bac to school and between then and 3rd week of next term.

I was just thinking that if schools who don't do it now, like SS and mine's, are gonna waste our time.

Wouldn't it be better for people doing 4U Eng, 4U Math, Ext History, Ext Jap etc to get started straight away next term whithout having to wait for the school to get everything organised?
