Social life at the Callaghan Campus (1 Viewer)

Just wondering what the social atmosphere is like at the Callaghan campus, since it's virtually in the middle of no where. Is there much to do? Any kind of social side to the uni?

http://www.newcastle.edu.au/students/campus-life.html#Gigs. In addition to all this we sometimes have weekly markets, movie nights and barbeques.

Also for first years they have dedicated an hr session to have lunch, listen to music, etc- for the sole reason of socialising.

You'll find most people easily approachable and willing to engage in a conversation.
