can anyone reckomend which album to buy first?

Sonic Youth..Well worth getting into, and you can't really go wrong getting any of their 80's albums (And most of their output since.).

As a first album however, I'd recommend one of the following; [And list certain songs from each for downloading purposes.];
-EVOL [Tom Violence, Shadow Of A Doubt, Expressway To Yr Skull.]
-Sister (Haven't heard the entire album, but its supposed to be one of their best. Schizophrenia is my favourite SY song.)
-Daydream Nation [Teenage Riot, Rain King, Trilogy. Also my first Sonic Youth album.]

daydream nation is probably the best to get into first, then washing machine. then sister. then confusion is sex. i dont realy like goo much...although i did get a shirt from work that has the album cover of goo on it, sans the trippy caption. but my girlfriend put it in the dryer and now its shrunk
