lol, they protray it as cool to hang a 260g media player around you neck.....

The these two are pretty impressive in features. They
can play high resolution movies and 3D games.

But they are pretty fat, it is not something i would like to be
carrying around, i mean a HP ipaq pda is only 100g and can do
most of the stuff these can.

i reckon the concept of a portable media player is flawed.
Due to the advent of mp3 players, ppl don't use CD players
much any more, i doubt ppl will want to go back to something
that is CD player size.

and why would you want to watch movies on the go? on a tiny
screen?

untill they can reduce that size and weight, mabye make the whole thing a screen then these will become fesable.

btw, they cost $US300+, so they aren't cheap....

Yep the iPaq 5550, my one is capable of doing alot, i can watch videos and movies on it, i can play games, they have age of empires 2 and quake 3d on it as well. and it can do more than what these devices have to offer.

i reckon just an mp3 player, or pda. wtf, really wants to watch movies and play games on a car trip? i mean, people above say 12 years old. Read a book. Hey you can put that on ya PDA, and i think u can get somthin so u can read them on ya Ipod.

And shouldnt the people in that photo be working or somthing? If not, maby they should stop playing shitty games, and get a job, they better not of bought those with welfare :/

i agree even more when that is put to mobile phones - who wants to carry around a brick '3' phone when no on else has them and phones these days are so small?

hmm i saw this in the news last night and found it sooo fascinating. like mini- gaming devices and stuff. i really like ths sony one (psp) or something *shrugs

i'm going for DS definitely, the PSP has terrific graphics, but i already have a PS2 not to mention DS will actually bring some originality into the games

have you seen Metroid hunters for DS? man... now thats a portable FPS game!
