Does anyone know exactly how to do it?

All I actually know re: the source I'm thinking of is that it's called the Widgery Report, by Lord Widgery, in 72... am I meant to know anything else?

Do you mean as in finding the full text of the source, or including the source in your bibliography?

If you mean for bibliographical purposes, I simply did mine (related to Pearl Harbor) like a book, with the publisher as the government organisation responsible. I put (pres.) in after the chairman's name where a committee was involved.

eg.

Grunert, G. (pres.) (1944), “Report of Army Pearl Harbor Board”, United States Army, Washington DC.

Barkely, A. (pres.) (1946), “Hearings Before the Joint Committee on the Investigation of the Pearl Harbor Attack”, Senate of the 79th Congress of the United States, Washington DC.

Ah Erin, you have a problem there my friend....

If it was an Australian government report, the State Library keeps Hansard records for NSW State Parliament, and you can inter-library loan anything from the Australian National Library.

However, as it was a fairly significant report, there is the chance that you will be able to get it in Australia

What I suggest you do is use the online catalogues to search for this report. I'll chuck you a few links here:

University of Sydney Library Catalogue: http://opac.library.usyd.edu.au/
UNSW: http://149.171.40.99/ALEPH/AVNDHG514LEHUSMLDVNKV1D6CI67L66JKAAXIKXMP1RN6KALCL-27347/file/start-0
Macquarie: http://voyager.ocs.mq.edu.au/cgi-bin/Pwebrecon.cgi?DB=local&PAGE=First
State Library: http://www.sl.nsw.gov.au/webcat/about.cfm
UTS: http://orac.lib.uts.edu.au/

Most University libraries will issue you with a temporary card (sometimes with a fee - I think Macquaries was $20) if you can produce a school library card proving that you are a Year 12 Student and an accompanying letter from your teacher on school letter head stating what you need the library resources for.

If not, you may have to look for a copy of it on www.amazon.com (I bought $100 worth of books for my History Extension from the US via amazon) and then you may be able to order a copy.

Good Luck! :)

I actually have a copy of the Widgery Report *and* the Saville Enquiry as one of mum's kids did the same topic (diff focus) for her project this year and was nice and passed them on to me. I just wasn't sure how I would source them in proposal

thanks for those sites though, cuz I still need other resources
