Hey
"identify data sources, gather, analyse and present information on the contribution of one of the following to the development of space exploration: Tsiolkovsky, Oberth, Goddard, Esnault-Pelterie, O‘Neill or von Braun"
Here's my response...
Robert H. Goddard( 1882-1945), also known as the father of modern rocketry, was an American college professor of physics, an engineer and an experimentalist.
He was the first person to use multi-stage rockets. He also contributed to the invention of gyros, and liquid payloads. This contributed also to the rockets we use today. Multistage rockets allow space explorers to travel out in space without being exposed to too much g-forces.
Also, gyros and fins on rockets allow astronauts to control and balance rockets so we may explore space.
I dont think my answer would get full marks if it was a 5 mark question...
Can you guys pls give me some other points? suggestions?
Thanks a lot!
