is there any software out there that can speak out a bunch of writting?

kind of like simpletext on macs.

is there a better alternative for windows?

theres a shit one that comes with windows xp i dunno if its worth using coz it cant pronounce stuff written in australian english

checked out the readmeplease ...worked out ok, any other ones that maybe i should check out?

as for the xp one...the speech 'recognotion' software is very bad....never ever use!

Do you mean the one that's called Narrator, and is under the Accessibility group? That one's shit because it only reads out individual letters of a word as you type them, not an entire word e.g. if you type "hello" (slowly) then it will say "h" "e" "l" "l" "o", not "hello".

there's one that converts it into MP3 aswell as reading it out.

Forgot what it's called

no theres one i cant remmeber where it is but it reads out entire sentences to u in some gay "microsoft sam" voice

i think its windows xp > language settings or something ?

anyways ive tried it... its pretty shocking and annoying trying to use it

it is accurate only if you have a good USB mic and speak in an american accent (if you didn't buy it)

ive got one called TextAloud.MP3.v1.459. i havent installed it yet so i cant tell you if its good. its only 5megs, so you can try searching for that.

what are you trying to say??

the prog i was looking for, reads out typed text. doesnt take down what i type :rolleyes:

way to bring back an old thread...
