just need to look at length contraction of the ruler as sally will be moving relative to sue at approx c.

also, both will see the other persons clock to be slower.

think relative movement and relativity of simultaenity

Yep it's just relative motion. I don't really think simultaneity comes into it though.

That wouldn't work cos motion is completely relative. How are we to decide whose frame of reference is legitimate?

hahah, sorry...i thought i was summing up, "what may be occuring for a person in an inertial frame of reference, may not be in accordance with what the person in the non-inertial frame of reference" into the phrase, "relativity of simultaenity"

hmm...they kind of link together...except the simualtaenity part. ;):p

Ok, I got my concept totally wrong for relativity...
I though that when you travel at relavlistic speeds, tiime slows down.
So shouldn't Sally observe Sue's clock to run slower, and hence Sue observes Sally's clock running faster?

The answer is D.

Sally's Frame
She is stationary. Sue is moving west at a very high speed.

Sue's Frame
She is stationary. Sally is moving east at a very high speed.

Conclusion
Each of them will see the other's clock as being slower, and the other's ruler as being shorter.

Hmmmmm... yeh, thought about that, but it seemed a little too far fetched :p
Anyway, the theory works... Thanx...
