Children face issues such as medical conditions, thermoregulation, matching opponents, resistance training and stress fractures.
Medical - talk about asthma, epilepsy, diabetes such as asthma need to be medically cleared, swimming is recommended due to nerve endings kept moist, epilepsy avoid contact and water sports, diabetes keep glucose levels up.
Thermoregulation - children's sweat glands aren't fully developed as an adults so need to be aware to rapid changes in temperature. They cant accilimitise as quick and at greater risk of hypo/perthermia.
Matching opponents - self explainitory
Resistance training- avoid heavy weights as their growth plates are still growing and are at risk of damage. Low weights, high reps preferred.
Stress fractures - again bone density not fully developed so avoid repeated stress on muscle/bone.
