State Rank for Second? (1 Viewer)

I'm tied second internally (overall) in Chemistry in a school ranked 6th last year. I'm about 1-2% behind the guy that ranked first. What are my chances of getting a state rank? Cheers.

Woops yeah I understand it depends on externals, but what I meant is that if the guy who comes first doesn't SR, does that mean that it's impossible for me to get one?

depends on whether difference between you and him both internally and externally, (depends also if the school scales it so you end up being on the same mark, it can happen). If he flunks the external, and you smash it, then it could happen that you could a state rank and he doesn't.
