I've got a few questions I'm stuck on, when I look at the answers I can figure out how to get them, I just don't know why...my dad doesn't seem able to explain them and just yells at me, so could someone pls tell me why/how u get these answers for the following questions:
1. In an election, the order in which names appear listed on the ballot sheet is decided by random selection. Jacob is one of 11 candidates. In how many ways could Jacob's name be among the top 4 on the list? (Answer is 14 515 200)
2. In a softball competition there are 16 teams. Every team plays every other team twice during the season. If a game was chosen what is the probability that team A OR team B would be playing? (Answer is 29/120)
Thanks in advance...Hope everything goes well for everyone on Tuesday!
