just wondering how everyone is planning on studying during actual exam weeks. for me, it's always one of two things: either i'm just so burnt out from the exam i had on the day that i can't be bothered to study for the next day's exam, OR i end up only studying for the exam i have the following day, meaning i neglect each subject until i'm just about to write it.

for context, my trials schedule is terrible - i have exams back-to-back for 5 days straight, then 2 on the following week. hsc is arguably worse, since i have a double up. genuinely not sure how to study then to optimise my time but also not get burnt out...

any insight would be appreciated:)

Personally, I think that although studying during exam week is good for jogging your memory and refreshing concepts right before an exam, trying to study too much is very stressful and draining. It'll affect your performance in exams, which has more implications than missing a few hours of study.

You probably won't like me saying this, but the only way to avoid burning out during exams is to study ahead of time. Especially since it's trials, you'll need to do a lot of prep, which means that you really have to start grinding early on (i.e. right now :evilfire:). Don't leave anything significant to the actual trial period, because as you've said, it won't work out. Also, spreading your study out and gradually increasing study intensity in the weeks leading up to trials will help you get used to the workload, minimising panic from last-minute cramming. It's gonna be a difficult few weeks, but you got this! :chainsaw2:Trial prep is arguably harder than the actual HSC exams imo
