I think the same session rules would apply....ie, max 24uoc per session, anything more is an overload.

But still, there is no limit as long as you get permission ...

Actually there are restrictions as to how much you can overload. Each program has a max uoc allowed, including the overload.

I would imagine that they'd consider each case separately, but it'll have to be pretty extreme to let people pass the max uoc limit.

I don't know why you'd want to pass the max uoc limit anyway; 24uoc is a lot of work for a summer session considering they go through work a lot faster. (don't they?)

...if this is a purely theoretical debate, continue on...

that's a lot considering the summer course for chinese studies done overseas only credits u with 6 UOCs

This is speculation on sunny and moi's behalf, but yes, 24, which is 4 "regular" sized subejects ("Would you like to upsize your course?", "Would you like fries with it?")

Actually no....summer session is divided into XA, XB and XC, only XB and XC courses are short. Most of the XA are regular length courses repeated, say for people that failed it during the year.

Oh, that's right. I'd forgotten, since I'd only EVER consider doing XC courses (l a z y).

Still, I would think an XA course would be condensed in the sense that it's on a more frequent basis (ie every day rather than three times a week)

lol, yeah I'd never do an XA course...its in December for god's sake!

I think you'd be mad to take any more than 2 subjects over summer...trust me, you'll want your holidays

But really, its just doing the work now and less later.
