Maybe this doesn't matter, though I was wondering when you source a quote from Antony and Cleopatra, is it correctly written as:

III.ii.12-15

or

III.ii.(ll.12-15)

Or some other hybrid? And if the quote consisted of only one line, would you source it as:

III.ii.(l.12)?

Thanks

dont bother with this referencing notation for the HSC. too much of a hassle. its the same as quoting the page number of a book, or to be really extreme, quoting the TIMES for a certain scene in a film.

have a talk to your teachers about this. im pretty sure u dont need such detailed referencing in exams.

personally, if i had to reference, i would do this:

Act III, Scene 2, Lines 12 -15.

but i dont see anything wrong with III, ii, 12-15.

Thanks for that :).

I was going to speak to my teacher, though an essay is due before I would have a chance to talk to her...
