When analysing and documenting the examples, what techniques could I use for Looking for Richard - a list of possible techniques to look out for would be better, since this docudrama format is one that I have not done much of....

Search around for LFR essays, you'll get an idea of the techniques you could use. I'd prioritise big 'feature' techniques that are specific to the play and film. For the film, consider things like lighting, camera angles, breaking the 4th wall, etc.
