stupid q but if u add HNO3 and ammonium molybdate, do u get a yellow precipitate coz thats what i put :S

I wrote add molydbate ions and should be blue colour, lol lucky that section was also referring to the experiment since I didn't study any solubility rules

add ammonium molybdate and nitric acid, and it will be a pale yellow ppte, and add ascorbic acid and ull get your blue ppte

yeah I put yellow with silver, I think thats right (its right in the macquarie revision guide anyway :p)

* A yellow precipitate of silver phosphate of silver phosphate forms when silver nitrate is added.
* A fine white precipitate forms when barium nitrate is added.

for phosphate i put silver which gives you yellow ppt (this is right..right?)
for sulfate i put barium ions which gives white ppt

what was the other q again?

I guessed them all except the last one, for which I put Ba 2+ will for a white precipitate
For the second I put Al 3+....I had no idea aye, didnt even know what a 'reagent' or whatever was.

wat happens if you got the ion/reagant right but the ppt wrong? no half marks in the hsc?
