Where do people find these cool quotes? uno them quotes ppl put at the top of their first page to create an impression, then include it somewhere near the end for some kind of effect.( ) I find that common places like historical figures' witty sayings are overused and not perfectly applicable to what I'm doing... And although I would imagine lyrics is a good place to get such quotes, but unfortunately im not into music... with words :( argh! Poetry is a good one, but I know jack all about poetry, so i dunno where to look. Nuts.

Any good sources? My work reflects strongly the paradigms of nihilism, and ive lately been looking for quotes on death and futility of life etc. kinda dark but yeh :)

Find a book called Epigrams - which is what you're after - libraries should have a copy, its just a whole book of epigrams categorised - should help you :)

i got mine out of a magazine article. ie,

Television is a crucible a bubbling cauldron of conflicting ideas that mobilize a series of struggles over meaning.

it wasn't the embodiment of every single idea i wrote down, but it was definitely 'the quote'-i just knew when i saw it, that that would look best on my title page, and give my teacher a vague idea what was going on

is it possible to put a quote in that was ssaid by yourself or another student (and you'd quote by student number)
i mean, i think if anything, my own quotes are the most relevant... or you know what would be cool?a quote from a teacher, like...
"you'll never amount to anything more than a humble statistic in the census"- my year x teacher
i'd love to put something like that in
(NB: that was never said to me but i do suspect my year nine english teacher thought this a fair few times)
