I thought that one chick who made a rally, protest whatever to get the free fair day...shes a champ. Its nice to see that one person can make a difference, even if in the scheme of things it was rather insignificant.

It showed that if the poeople join together...the government will bow down.

Maybe we should do more of that type of thing, if not..maybe we could have a riot and over trhow the government :) jks. but What things would u like to seee changed in our country.

My ones

bring the troops back from iraq.

greatly reduce the sentences given to drug dealers - as drug dealing is a harmless and petty crime.

provide better protection to criminals in jail

make divorce a crime and cheating on a wife/husband.

ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmm ok guys...............ur turn, until i think of some more.

So is murder, and theft, both of which often result from druggos needing their next hit.

Make a REAL effort to improve health of Australians.
Improve health care (hospitals in particular)
Improve avenues for education - both for the youth and for the aging population.
Provide more / better resources for government funded schools and rural schools

Not sure whether more / better would be best. Probably more.

Oh yes, and I'd really consider the penalties for cybercrime.

well, i can tell you there has been no change in CityRail...

stupid me caught a train to the city today... train was due 9:07 - at 9:12 it was announced that the train was running 5 minutes late (like, duh!) then at 9:17 it finally arrived... luckily my connecting train was waiting for me otherwise i would NOT have been happy.

so yes, it probably would've gone down better if i hadn't paid for my ticket (there were no guards at either ends checking) but, being the honest citizen i am, did the right thing and pay for a service that doesn't even run efficiently!!!

An end to the idea that 'it's the economy, stupid'.

tattoodguy has a slight point with respect to drug crimes, though.

I partly agree with tattooguy about the drug dealers - however, drug dealers should have harsher sentences but drug users should have lesser sentences.

Personally, I would like to see:
* Better funded hospitals and community health centres
* Better resources for education
* Better quality roads
* Free education until your third year of uni

Thats about it for now.

Ummm I dont think divorce should be a crime... there are many reasons for divorce and somtimes the best thing for the familt is divorce. I wish my folks would... they fight and yell and scream until 1 in the morning and sometimes my dad leaves and comes back in a day or so. I rememebr crying myself to sleep as a youngin and wishing for it all to be over. I developed depression a few years ago and my parents fighting hasnt helped and oneday one of us is just going to explode... I dread it here and its tearing me down.. Ive applied for unis outside sydney cos its the only way that Im gonna get to move out and get away from here. So divorce isnt always bad... the cheating.. yeah ok I agree with that... but not the divorce.

devil...............why do you say drug dealers........shoudl be given harsher penalties.

ppple who think drug dealing is a crime..shoudl be put in jail. becaues you dont understand the concept of responsibility and its clear ppple like u want to passs the buck.

drug dealers offfer a product......thats not good for you........if ppple want to consume it...................................thats there fucking problem. Same as alcohol, cigerettes, fast food, parachuating, etc

Dont blame the drug dealer..................for the problems of someone else.

seriously though..........there are people in jail................for like selling $1000 worth of drugs...............thats fucking rediculous, cos its fucking nothing.

Alot of drug dealers just sell drugs to there friends etc.............there not hurting anyone.

why should we waste like $50,000 ayuear on inprisoning someone, who hasnt hurt anyone, and it will probably make there life alot harder in the long run...employment wise etc etc...........................alot of ppple who go to jail...............get ina cycle...........................we need more....................punishments than..............jail.

Like its too harsh to put someone in that environment... that coses more problems than it fixes.

our system is fucked up.

btw............i sort of agreee...................on secend thought, about.......the divorce thing......that shouldnt be a crime.........................but cheating should be a crime.

well i was providing a comparison to the complaints of people in hong kong... someone said they were outraged by trains being 2-3 mins late or something.

10 mins is hardly anything - cancellations are much worse, you're right!! :D
