hey.. can anyone please tell me how the movie 'the crucible', y'know the one with winona ryder, is related to imaginative journeys?? any ideas appreciated.. ta

yeah i know all thta jazz.. but my english teacher just made us watch the movie, and then relate it back to the area of study imaginative journeys. He said its something to do with how the negative imag. journey leads to a journey of the society, and how, although there is suffering, it was ultimately positive. But i still dont see it!! But thank you anyway..

Hmm... I haven't studied imaginative journeys, but perhaps you want to look at the whole McCarthy-ism/witch hunt thing- people 'imagining' things that aren't really there and having the imaginations of a few people forming the catalyst for the deaths of so many people, also the strict Puritan society just waiting for something to liken itself to "ultimate death" (their purpose for being so 'puritan' to cause such a huge uproar?
