Got this english task where i have to talk about theatrical context of hamlet in the renaissance time period. role of theatre , revenge tragedies and travelling players (wtf). Any ideas where i could start? School wasnt much help.

Well there were distinctly different periods of theatre throughout out the ages, it's simply asking you to look at the context of the play.
What constitutes a revenge tragedy and what other plays are examples of this?
Travelling players=the actors, so talk about how they were staged during their time, how was the theatre, does the play pander to whatever royal family was in power at the time?
