Hey guys so I was having a look at UAC and UNSW Offers the following:

B Science (Computer Science) ATAR Cut-off: 91
B Science (Computer Science)/B Media Arts ATAR Cut-off: 82

What doesn't make sense to me is can't you just enroll BSc/ BMA and just drop BMA?

Why is there such a big difference in ATAR for the same course? UNSW claim both BSc CS are the same, except one is a 3 year course the other 5 year combined course.

Thanks

I guess it differs between unis, the cut offs are determined by supply/demand remember so sometimes certain combined courses are not as in demand as the individual ones. I know at UTS courses (besides law ofcourse) combined with business have cut offs lower than business alone and you have to actually reapply if you want to transfer into just business - i've met people doing "IT/Business" but doing all business subjects in the first semester and read about people considering doign exactly that on forums so it makes sense.

Cut-offs are based on demand.

Problem solved.

No, all ATAR cut-offs are based on demand.
