hello,

The HSC Markers mark your practical projects on the degree of difficulty and the skills used but what exactly is considered a 'band 6' use of skills?

How many skills?
What skills are they looking for in a band 6 project?

In my project im considering using:

* Mortise and Tenon joints
* Dovetail Draws
* Router edging
* Dowel and or biscuit joints

Any other helpful information or tips?

thanks

Could you incorperate any wood turning in your project?

I got a band 6 and I did turned legs, draws with rebate joints, routed table top, mortice and tennon joints and some dowel.busicuit joints.

My brother also achieved a band 6 a few years earlier and he did similar things, how ever we both made similar projects.

I seriously do recomend talking to your teacher about it I'm sure they would be more then willing to help. I'm just training to be a teacher I don;t know the ins and outs of course yet.

I do know but, that the folio and your exams/assesments are just as important as your major work if you want a band 6 result.
