What does this mean?

Request timed out.
The following error occurred:
Code:
A DNS lookup error occurred because the request timed out during the lookup.

I got the error whilst attempting to access a webpage. Thanks.

What a DNS does is retreive a web server's IP address from the domain name. Sometimes if your DNS cannot resolve the IP address of a domain name (maybe due to the actual server being down or communication problems), then it would give up looking for it and returns this error. So your error just means that the web site you're trying to access is non-existence at the time (implied as cannot communicate with the server and retreive the IP).
Hope that answers your question.

But the problem is that I can access it from another computer. One that's causing troubles is the cuniversity computers.

the cuniversity servers might be having a fit as per usual.

it generally just means ther server is busy and ignored your request.
