Do we get hand-fed our timetables? Cause I don't really like the idea of going off that bloody internet timetable thing!

lol its not that confusing. but yes, a simple timetable on paper would be nice, something where we dont have student access numbers and passwords and links to here and there.

were we meant to put in preferences for the spring timetable...because i didn't think we had to

i've been auto-allocated in stupid times and days, and some subjects have 'closed' and i haven't been allocated at all

what's the go with that?

Well you should have all been allocated now to specific classes. Now you can swap between them until next week. They'll keep changing as people drop out and swap and stuff.

Don't use the grid layout. Just use the standard layout and use Excel to make your own timetable like I do.

Most people I know use the grid layout, and just remove the subject from the other semester in excel.

I personally have created my own layout and it works well for me :)

questions,

1. do we need to use the timetable builder?
2. or can we just make our own on excel like someone said?
3. will i still get a timetable if i didnt use this builder?

i dont understand how to use it.. all i know is i entered numbered preferences in the "my subject activities".

the timetable became available today
log onto my subject activities and check it out there
I did my table using word and insert table then customised it according to day, time and when my subjects were on

Ok, serious timetable issue:
I do a certificate at MQ and the timetable is already locked in over there, and at UTS even though I put my first preference as the morning class it changed to afternoon for one of my units...and now there is a clash. It also says I can make amendments but I don't see the option to do that - so would someone please explain how? Otherwise I'm going to be in stryfe next week:(

Can't help you sorry mate.

In more selfish news, my timetable also sucks--major gaps between lectures and tutes.
err mine too.. i got sumtn finishing at 1pm, then sumtn at 6pm...
also, does it matter if you have the tutorial of a subject before the lecture?
cause my tutorial is 6-7pm. then the lecture is 7-9pm.. is this normal?
