Ok I can't remember if this has been answered before.....

Basically I'm doing arts/law and there is a clash between one of my italian electives and one of my law lectures

e.g. Tuesday 3:30- 6:30 Italian practical

Tuesday 4:30-5:30 Law lecture

I'm very confused. Does this mean I can't do italian as I have to be in class 6 hours per week????
Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated
Thanks in advance
:D

i know for me the lecs are only at the one time, but the labs (which i presume are like your pracs) n tutes have some variation, is there only the one time for the italian prac?

On the Uni website in the search section i typed in;
1) faculty of law 2004 Autumn Timetable and clicked on option one
Once it has opened click on new llb enrollments 2004

I did a similar thing for my arts unit sorry if this didn't make sense
if it doesn't work I'll post the times up, just let me know k

There are two 3 hour blocks for Italian and unfortunately you have to attend both in order to reach the 6 hours per week
This sucks I want to be in both.....

Thats definately a problem!! Since every comp sci student has to take math1081 and comp1x11.

Can you do math1081 in second session?

Its weird to have clashes with your core subjects though.

Depends on your degree. Have a look at your course Information page:).

Apparently, this is also what happened last year, so they havent fixed it!!!!

I'll check second session, but still, thats pretty bad for core subjects to clash :(

And yes!! only 15 hours of lectures a week in first session, 11 hours a week in second :D

Yes, Richard likes to change his lecture times - and last year he moved one of the friday lectures into thursday and clashed with discrete - affecting about 1500 people.

Add the tutes and labs you'll have way more 15....

suz, I don't get it. For LLB100, it says you attend 1 lecture and 2 tutes per week. There is only on lecture, but on the website how do you know which are the different tutes (ie there are several of each of them, how do u know you aren't doubling up?)

Ms 12 you choose the tutorials or seminars which suit you and your arts units best. I don't know if I explained this well but depending on when your lectures for your art electives are you then look at the gaps on your timetable and decide which tute time suits you best
For example for LLb 100 I chose the seminar onThursday 9:30 2 11:30 because it didn't clash with anything else on my timetable
Hope that helped...
