hello,

does anyone know when it is required to wash down the sides of a conical flask using DI water when conducting a titration.

yes... the wut eva in burette may splash up and got stuck on the side...
wash them periodically, esp closing to end pt...

dont u also have to wash the sides at the very beginning, after transferring yor solution from the pipette into the flask, in order to make sure all of the solution is in the bottom of the flask, then u fill it with distilled water 2 the line?
