how does it work, like how many 100's do the dis out in the HSC?

In 2001, a total of 60,788 students completed at least one UAI course. Of this group, 57,482 students received an HSC and 49,782 received a UAI.

In 2000 and 2001, 22 students received a UAI of 100. This is not a predetermined figure, however, if the age cohorts are of a similar size across different years, it will be approximately the same (as the UAI is a ranking).

That list simply displays the highest UAI attained in any particular course last year.
