Transfering into engineering from engineering (1 Viewer)

Im planning to go to Electrical engineering at sydney uni because i get to learn about telecommunication and computer as well there.

However i heard that it is difficult and the job opportunity is not that good compared to its difficulty.


If i do electrical engineering in the first year, and i decide to transfer

Can i transfer into civil engineering or mechanical engineering?

and

Do i have to repeat the whole year?
