Hi,

For some strange reason, the caps for BioInfo must have dropped a lot this year, so instead of going into eco as i anticipated, I'm in BioInfo instead. I *should* probably have shifted bioinfo down my list, except I was lazy, and it's only now I realise I kinda do like eco/comm (unfort. marks too low for commerce now).

Anyway, first question: is it too late to decline this one, and drop to eco, which is lower on my preferences?

Alternatively, there's a doubel degree in Eng & Comm - is it possible to transfer after one year if your UAI is below 96, and if so, what sort of marks do you need to have achieved in your uni assessments? (High Distinction?) How hard is say, a Distinction, or a High Distinction to achieve?

Also, how many years do you lose?

Thanks,

First - you can't just automatically switch to Eco. You have to ACCEPT your offer first, and change your preferences and put Eco 1st for the late round. If UAI's stay the same and there are vacancies, you'd get in through the late round.

Second - yes you can transfer after one year. The further away your UAI is from the cutoff, the better your 1syt year marks have to be. So say you got a 93'ish UAI, you'd probably need a Distinction average GPA to have a good chance of transferring.
