I presume one would have to catch a bus to MacQ from Parra station?
How long does this take? And is this the best way to get to Macq by train?

from what i heard.. its 1.5 hours via bus only...
its quicker on train but more expensive...
from parra, im assuming, training to stratty, then another train to epping and a bus to uni...

from parra, you can catch the 545 bus, which takes about an hour

there is also 550 ..which takes 40 minutes i think? but it rarely comes

yeh the 545 sucks, it takes too long going through all the back streets of telopea n stuff

once i got lost on that bus...

Oh so whats the travel time by bus from Epping (or whatever the nearest station is)?

about 10 mins at most... about 1 hour if the bus breaks down... though...

As a general tip,

*in the mornings the train is usually faster, parra -> epping, then catch any of the multitude of buses to MQ
*otherwise, catch a 545 (550 only comes around 3-4pm both ways i think) and get a travelten. On a good day, 40-50 minutes will get you to uni, on a usual day its about an hour, on a bad day its an hour and a half (note dont catch 545 from around 6 if you dont want to find out).

catch a bus 2 strath n then catch the bus from there 2 uni
its much better than waiting 4 dumb trains that are alwayz late
