Does anybody know how to integrate:

sec x tan x dx

the answer is sec x + c

Is there a way to do it without going backwards and differentiating sec x ?

i knew how this worked....i've forgotten all maths!
edit: doesnt it work with just using the table of integrals.

it's a standard integral.

or if you insist, secxtanx = sinx/cos^2x
Let u = cosx, du=-sinxdx
secxtanx = -1/u^2
integral: 1/u +c
= 1/cosx +c
= secx +c
