Any TVET accountants on here?

Just wondering how everyone went over the two years. It's annoying not having raw marks, merely 'broad ranges'. Grumble.

So yeah, if anyone is here - post away! Heh.

Still haven't got my ranges. Definitely not happy about that.
Overall I think I went well.
Teacher/s were very impressed with work ethic/memory/knowledge.

Does anybody know what the ratio of weighting is for the assignments/major exam we had to do?

Did great in all the assignments but bombed the exam...

Hopefully wont have a huge effect on the overall mark

So when were we supposed to get these 'ranges'?

I do mine by correspondence and haven't heard anything from tafe in at least a month or two, with no word on how i went overall

Last year they just sent them out and somewhere around the middle of the year they sent out our half-way for this year. So, should be around the same time that the marks for the HSC come out. But, our teacher was going to mail us our marks when she finished getting them together, just to be nice.

The weighting for assesment to exam is 50/50. The 50 for the assesment is made up of the assesments and "proof" work that was done throughout the year. Proof work can also be used if someone has an epic fail in the exam, to show that they are capable of doing the work. So, you should be fine.

Yep,

I certainly did have an epic fail...

So if i am a correspondence student, have I done any of this 'proof' work?
I obviously got all competent for the non graded assignments -
But For the graded ones, i received distinctions.

Does this come into play at all as 'proof?'

Or am i totally stuck with 50% all my assessments plus 50% one failed exam?

Hope not....

Does everyone follow the same course structure?
Like written stuff in the first year and then computer based stuff in the second?

I got told that the first year was worth 70% (half of that class mark and half of that exam mark) and the second year was worth 30%. That right?

Yeah, that seems more fair than 50/50, there was a lot of work that had to be put into those assignments

As far as my accounting teacher explained it (and this is for this year, for all the computerised work) she needed to collect worksheets and myob examples from us as our "proof work" which only comes into play if you don't pass with your assesment/exam marks. I'm assuming everyone does a similar sort of thing NSW-wide.

Yes, I took that question to be in relation to the work for this year/this years marks that go to the 30%.
