What length or number of pages should I aim for (or what length is recommended) in an essay question, say for Accounting? I need to know how much depth is adequate without spending too much time on it.

Shouldn't the length they want be in the course outline, if it's an assessment task?

yea if its a formal assessment task they will give you a word limit which you must abide by (10% leeway).

If not just write in the space provided (eg. for exams..)

and try not to ramble, get to the point fast.

what is this for anyway? if memory serves me correctly, when i did acct1001 we had to do a short 'essay' in the first tute. If this is what its for, then it was bout 1-1.5 pages.

yeah, there's a very short essay that is worth a grand total of ..... 0 marks. I'll probably write half a typed page, or less. it's just not worth it, at this stage, considering I doubt they'll put a question like this in the exam, and I know that I can write sey essays.
