i seriously doubt this is a typo but im kinda hoping it is:
prove that
sin(A+B) + sin(A-B)= 2sinAsinB

i thort that it should equal 2sinAcosB
so confused

hehe, they finish the exam with two hours to spare, and then the examiner goes on to the stage and announces that there is a typo in the paper. lol, most of the nerds didn't even notice the typo, their mind automatically corrected it. gee, what a bunch of nerds.

Now that isnt very nice, a much meaner way is to tell them the train is running late, and they will be late for school and watch them start crying.

lol, an anti-ruse thread.

Me and around 4 guys (from sbhs) catch the train every morning with around 2 ruse people. Some of them are pretty cool. I know around 10 from the class of '04, all of them are cool. One even comes first in english, and she doesn't study. Trust me, doesn't try at all and has an estimated UAI of 99.35. :-\

I think its much to do with the fact that the entrance to the school is so rigourous, and also the self-perpetuating effect of putting a bunch of smart ppl together, they become smarter and smarter!

i.e. ruse is full of high quality ppl. i got some friends in ruse and Guardian's right in saying that many dont even try. they are all naturally smart with 140+ IQs

Which test do they use? Since to indicate the result on an IQ test you also need to state the test.

im averaging about 150 with all the IQ tests... but it was learnt i tell you... no one is borned smart.

you can be born smarter relative to others but you will never be smart enough to score anything in the IQ tests if you don't learn it by putting the time into it... some people does it and they don't know it so they think they are naturally smart.

im thinking of doing some postgrad research into this natural smartness theory... if i get the chance.

edit: and hsc is not an indication of smartness in terms of IQ... there is proly one subject which is partly related to it which is math.... the rest is just 90% rote learning and some elementary understanding. so you must try hard.

Of course no-one is born smart, but how much knowledge they intake is something completly different. You arent going to be born knowing that i is the square root of -1.

yea thats what i am talking about.

you see we currently don't know whether its that people learn faster or is it just that they were born a little bit smarter relatively that causes them to become geniuses.

but for ruse its a different story... most of them come from asian background with a superior educational system to start with, so they are already ahead at a young age and those who still try hard afterwards tend to be more ahead than others because of their initial smartness. so they make it into ruse... and they continue to try hard under competition of more of the same people so eventually end up as a bunch of smart people becoming lawyers and doctors.

wow, 140+ iq!!! lolz, the criteria for entrance to ruse; wut's ur iq... i dunno tho, a ruser i noe tries freggin hard... and gettin allstressed abt asmts etc, still only above average...
