hey i was reading the UAC Atar FAQ guide and it said this:
'It is important to note that your ranking depends solely on your performance in the HSC.'

is this true?

Your ATAR which is your ranking depends solely upon your performance in the HSC year.

No, the HSC = Higher School Certificate, which is a result accumulated from all of your internal + external exams and performance throughout the year.
This then determines your ATAR = Australian Tertiary Admission Rank

So that is the ranking and hsc they are referring to.
