ok... this confuses me, they tell us that the apply by web would be open in early august, but even though it is early august, they are still yet to open grrrr...

The UAC guide gives you an indication of the cut-offs for the courses at universities. It also gives you information on each course (ie. assumed knowledge, length of course, etc) and provides you with information on how to choose your preferences, etc.

What makes you think you can't get into any unis, and only TAFE? I'm sure you can and the cut-offs in the UAC guide are only an indication- they could change dramatically.
