I was wondering...

The UAI is a rank, but is it a rank out of ALL the students who did the HSC or just the ones eligible for a UAI?

i'm pretty sure its all students who did HSC + all the SC student dropouts.

i know definitely they add in the SC dropouts.

The UAI indicates the position of a student relative to their Year 10 cohort - the SC dropouts.

Eg. UAI of 80.00 means that the student have performed well enough to be in the top 20% of their Year 10 cohort, had all the dropout/dropkicks students completed Year 12 and been eligable for a UAI.

i've just had a thought. seeing that dropouts don't get an uai, because after all, they are drop outs - a <30 uai must be very hard to get...

I'm confused as to why you're talking about School Certificate students now though lol. :s
I meant, do they include the HSC students who aren't getting a UAI?

People that arent getting a UAI did the school certificate ?? YES.

Therefore they are counted as all people who did the school certificate are counted.
