ive heard from a few people that ALL uai's in the state are released in the newspaper (SMH or Daily Telegraph) each year...i was just wondering if this is true because as far as i know they are not??????

I'm pretty sure it's not true. Only people who got band 6 in at least one subject are acknowledged by the media.

and the UAI isn't released. just the names/school of the people who got band 6.

people who get band 6's are in the paper and people who get premiers awards have like their own sections with their school and their name in bold. Also first in subs get like big read outs.

If you get 100 you are certainly acknowledged, but not 90+

uai is suppose to be private unless you get like 100 then youre on the newspaper

they also print your address, alarm number and blue prints of your house.

Even if that happens they ask for your approval first.

The media can't get your UAI until the "Board of Studies Media Centre" calls you to confirm first.

not true, sydney morning herald publishes all those who got band 6s and all those who got above 90 uai..

Aww, I leave the day the UAIs come out for overseas
can someone buy me a paper if I get a band 6 for legal?

No UAC confirms. The board has nothing to do with UAIs and their publication.

Well I got a call from "Board of studies media centre" to ask for permission to show my UAI :/
