Ok. So I bought a TV Card with my computer, (Lifeview Flyvideo 3000), and its pretty sweet.
It's got FM radio, TV, Teletext, capture, timeshift record and all that stuff.

But its got this puncy cheapo little remote control. With like 15 buttons that do basically nothing. The remote control doesnt work with other programs, just the Flyvideo ones.

And then I found the COOLEST program called uICE. (universal Infrared Control Engine)
http://www.mediatexx.com/

It supports a stack of remote controls from TV Tuner cards and FM Tuner cards, and lets you use them basically like any IrDA remote that you would build up yourself to put into your system.

It's customisable, you can control any program now with the remote that came with your TV card.

Best thing is I can sit back and control Winamp 5 with my crazy little remote control. Sweet.

Anyone with a TV card remote should definitely check it out.

Depending on quality, you're looking at about $90 to hundreds on higher end capture cards.
