I recently recieved the new 2005 UMAT practice questions booklet - looks good. Does anyone know how difficult the questions are in comparison to the real UMAT? Even friend of a friend sources are useful. (The questions are taken from old UMAT tests, I assume these were equal difficulty to the current test ques)

Also, Where the heck do you check the answers - none are included as far as I can see.

:) I don't think the idea is to show you if you're any good or not, just get you used to the format. Hence no included answers.

sorry (bangs head on desk several times)
I can't believe I didn't see that.
I guess I did fail.
ACER isn't as mean as I originally thought.

Sorry for that act of complete supidity,
(I blame it on the fact that I am ex-Tasmanian and have two heads)

At least you haven't done this yet:

It comes more easily to some people, like me. I have never had any trouble handling cadavers or other gruesome material. I guess it's because they're preserved and not the same as fresh flesh - before dissection I couldn't actually handle raw meat from the butcher. Couldn't stand the smell of blood (it's worst with chicken).

Now I guess I can do pretty much anything though.

Yeah, I know I'll do it and get used to it, probably later this year... but it just hasn't happened yet. I don't think being uncomfortable with cadavers at the beginning of first year is too much of a problem - of course, if you got to final year and it was still an issue, you'd wonder why you were doing med...

Haha yeah you'll be fine. Just don't feel too stressed about being uncomfortable, that will keep the issue at the front of your mind and prolong it.
