Haha, it's not a nice joke but the people bagging out dingo have probably never step foot onto the hallowed grounds (and that loong walkway) in Kensington. I don't go there, but I've been there a fair bit (for the Roundhouse and the library)...and it's true. It's like a Little China.

Except that Mac has more Beijing students (but not so much from other Chinese cities).

It may not be funny to some but its kind of true. I've been to UNSW and there are plenty of Asians, though not all of them are overseas students.

Uysd had a large asian population especially in Commerce.

is it unsw or usyd that is opposite nida? which ever is opposite nida is the one i went to (it was in yr 10 on our careers week excursion) and i dont think i noticed excessive amounts of asians..?

Hah, I spent like half of my Business Communcations Skills subject learning to write politically correctly...and the term 'Asian' is apparently unacceptable.

If you say 'Asian' in England you are pretty much refering to Pakistanis, but sometimes also used to cover Indians and Bangladeshis. I found that strangely amusing.

So yeah...at UNSW there is a great number of students from the East Asia region (especially China)...as well as MANY Australian students of east asian origin.

But it makes sense though. UNSW has the best rep for Commerce in east asia and south east asia (and probably locally as well), so it'd be natural for a lot of students to try and go there.

UNSW actually had strict rules during the last SARS scare - I'm not sure if it was enforced, but students were told to stay at home for a week before returning to uni after visiting one of the countries with SARS.
