It's been so cool doing English, and knowing what horatian and juvenalian satire means .

So how has latin benefitted you guys at uni, if it has at all?

Commerce/Law....yea, i guess some latin is good, although they are trying to cut most of the latin out of law nowdays

I don't see why they should, it's what makes Law better than Commerce.

Anyway, there's plenty of Latin in Science, but not my fields so it's only served to make people think I know many obscure and unimportant things.

some of the latin phrases met so far:
stare decisis, ratio decidendi, obiter dicta, curia regis, curia advisari vult, quantum meruit, caveat emptor inter alia...

after all, law is latin... go latin! go law!

Anyway it has helped with some terminology. But hasn't helped that much.
