Hi, I have first hand investigation exam coming up soon and its 25% it say:
Students will carry out an experiment to identify percipitation reactions and using precipitation reactions to identify the Unknown samples. Does anyone know how to prepare for it because I am very very confused and thanks in advanced.:awesome:

You're probably going to have to perform a lot of reactions and from what you see as the products deduce what unknowns reacted, through looking at if there is a precipitate and colours of the solution or precipitate.

To prepare I would memorise the solubility rules and how to use them (so you should look into what each reaction will look like visually so you know what you expect to see in the practical and how to write the chemical reactions- I'm assuming that you have an idea of what elements or substances thy are gonna use. if not its probably just the stuff you usually use in the lab) (http://community.boredofstudies.org/17/chemistry/362463/solubility-rules.html) and memorise colours of precipitates
