UNSW Engineering... do the electives matter? (1 Viewer)

Hi guys,

I start engineering in sem 2 this year but i wanted to know if electives matter in the long run, because my choices are VERY limited if i am to start in sem 2 and do summer Sem

EDIT: Should I just choose the electives (here:http://www.eng.unsw.edu.au/information-for/current-students/undergraduates/1st-years/electives) that has Recommended, Required Later courses corresponding to my course ?

Pick the recommended ones. For mech this is MATS1101 and MMAN1130, don't know about any other schools/faculties. Both will help in the long run.

If you're in civil do whatever you want. The electives don't help at all.
