I've picked FINS2624 as an elective subject for semester two, and I've had two people tell me very different things about what to expect.
I'm trying to optimise my WAM this year for a transfer, and yes I have been warned about "WAM destroyer" something Yip. However, he is not lecturing next semester (according to timetable anyway). I haven't done mgmt and have also been told that Mgmt is quite unpredictable and can be a wam killer for many people. Would I be better off picking fins or mgmt?
Any responses appreciated

lol.. the problem with a lot of these courses are scaled to a bell curve.... So an easy subject will let you pass but not necessarily give you a great mark.

Do a course you think you are interested in, can ace and be better than everyone else.

hi i have done fins 1613 last year, and 1612 and 2624 this semester. before i was told 2624 was much more difficult than other fins subjects and two of my friends dropped it halfway, but i feel it okey. the second part is really really really harder than the first part, but i have already pass this subject even i dont attend the final exam.

do you mean mgmt1001? i really really really hate this subject. it required looooong essay, reading thiiiiiick books, and a lot to recite. and if your tutor is a bald head guy, then you are finished.

1612 is more like comprehension than anything else. 1613 is a lot harder and requires thought. 2624 requires even more thought.
