Hello,

What sort of WAM (UNSW) is usually good enough to be offered a internship interview (preferably finance)?

Does anyone know the distribution of WAM for commerce? as in usually how many % gets HD, D etc?

Thanks alot =)

Get 80+ and you'll be fine with good extracurriculars - RBA and ANZ want 60+ I think though.

Minimum threshold is 60 (credit average) - no idea why. 80+ is what you'd want for IB to secure an interview without problems though with a distinction average you should be fine.

in unsw grading system 65 is a credit.

i think some systems grade 60 as a credit

If you're doing a double degree like commerce/law, do you have to get an overall WAM of 80 to secure an IB interview or is it an 80 average in the commerce degree only?

Commerce only from what I've seen. People list their marks separately, with it usually being Commerce (Finance) 80+ average and Law in the 65-70 range.

To OP, an 80 average would sure help getting to the interview but from then on your marks don't mean much. There will be plenty of other people with 80+ WAMs too
