I have an assignment due this friday on the Australian economy and I am stuck on one question that relates to other questions in my assignment. The assignment is:

'How does government intervene in and/or influence the free operation of the economy by the way of:
* Fiscal Policy
* Monetary Policy

*When each may be used and why
*The relative effectiveness of each.'

I have already answered the part above but the part I still have to answer is:

* Illustrate your answer with reference to Government policy and policy mix in the current Economic environment.

Any kind of help will be greatly appreciated,

Thanks,
Kylie

fiscal policy through budget, u know? government spendin? see whether it is more that gov't rev? if it is, then ad goes up, thus eco growth?

monetary policy, rba? buyin/selin govt securities to influence intrate?.. if its low then more ppl borrow, to buy stuff..thus ad goes up, eco growth up..
