Urgent motor help needed (1 Viewer)

I am making a DC motor, so its got the armature and two anils on it, on those two anils are 300 loops of copper wire. Why do I have to put the wire in the asame direction isnt that wrong because both permanent magnets will repel the electromagnets?


Now where should I place the anils to get the motor working to maximise torque?

Also errr what was it, oh yeah, how do I apply the right hand palm rule to a complex motor like this can I assume that the one nail is just one coil?

I am building a motor, it will consist of TWO iron nails placed on a plastic tube or cork or foam depending on what I find. WHERE should I place these nails to maximise torque, 180 degrees?

I hope this works if not, 0 in physics

Ver similar to this, except im using two nails instead of three.

Does it the direction of the coils on the nail matter, i.e if I wrap them both in the same direction, does it have to be towards me or away from me?


Will it work if I use 2 instead of three nails

Tell me all the things I need to know to get it started by itself and last for 5minutes..
