need help with this question

Explain the difference between hypertonice, hypotonic and istonic urine

don't worry if u don't know my teacher always gives us wierd questions

Well I'm more familiar with hypotonic, hypertonic and isotonic solutions. But, I imagine it the same principles would apply to hypo/hypertonic and isotonic urine.

Hypertonic urine would be highly concentrated , hypotonic urine would be dilute, lower number of solutes, isotonic I'm not quite sure but obviously is the normal concentration, i/e reabsorbs H2O + ions equally.

To make it easier :

HYPO: means 'lacking' as in HYPOthermia

HYPER: means 'too much' as in HYPERactive

Therefore, if something is hypotonic, it has less solutes than its surrounding environment and vice versa.

All of the above are correct explainations.
More specifically, I think the question might be referring to the concentration of solutes in the urine, such as urea, sodium chloride and uric acid. With respect to hypo, hyper and isotonicity (as per the definitions listed above).

hm i think it has to do with the dp:
explain the urine concentration for fresh water fish, salt water fish and terrestrial mammals...

the hypo, hyper, iso tonic refer to the urine concentration therefore water conservation...
